      Verdict

Juantorena deserves to get his head in front but is proving expensive to follow and seemed not to handle the cut in the ground at Windsor last time so preference is for Aynsley, who gets the nod over Emerald Lodge. The last mentioned showed promise on his Yarmouth debut last month and is entitled to have learnt from the experience. Jeremy Noseda has his string in good form at present so the well-bred son of Grand Lodge has to be respected. David Barron's Pivotal colt Premier Fantasy ran a promising race at Thirsk first time out and warrants respect on his second start. However, there are some interesting newcomers in the field including the William Haggas-trained Beaune, a son of Desert Prince, and the two representatives from the stable of Barry Hills, Cavalarra and Guadiaro. The vote though goes to another debutant, the Michael Jarvis-trained Aynsley. By the smart sprinter Tomba, she should have no problems in handling the soft surface and comes from a stable whose two-year-olds are beginning to hit a rich vein of form.
