Verdict

Highly Sprung bids to land his yard its third successive victory in this but has some catching up to do to match FAST AND FURIOUS. The latter went close in a tougher maiden at York when beating a subsequent winner and that looks stronger form than the debut second of St Georges Cross at Nottingham. Avenue Of Stars ran well here on his debut only to disappoint at Ripon last time while The Knave is related to seven winners and makes most appeal of the newcomers including stablemate Pilgrims Path.
