Verdict

Orwellian completed a mid-summer double before failing to justify favouritism at Haydock. He may be a few pounds high in the weights now so it's GEORGE FENTON who is handed the vote despite being engaged here yesterday. Richard Guest's charge scored at Wolverhampton in March and has done well since returning to action. He's been narrowly beaten at Warwick and Chepstow recently and this looks his turn. Windygoul Lad, another who was down to run yesterday, scored over the C&D on heavy ground bur didn't quite live up to that form over 7f at Newcastle. He's capable of better as is the prolific Bonnie Prince Blue, though he's better on the all-weather these days.
