Verdict

Jamieson Gold can land his first victory of the season for the Linda Perratt yard where White Deer and mud reveller Moody Tunes appear the main dangers. A smart handicapper for the Barry Hills yard last season, both Jamieson Gold's handicap victories have been achieved over seven furlongs but the small field that has been declared means this could turn into a tactical affair, particularly in the ground. He has failed to discover anything like his best form of last season but possess some class and can dispose of these rivals despite stamina reservations. White Deer failed to handle stamina sapping conditions on his sole try at York last season while he is another with winning form over seven furlongs. Blinkers are applied for the first time to Dandy Nicholls charge. Moody Tunes has not re-discovered the winning thread in sixteen starts. It is possible that he could obtain a soft lead and if so, he could prove the biggest danger to the selection Jameison Gold.
