Verdict

DOON HAYMER shaped with more promise last time out and is fancied to make a return to the winners' enclosure; Casino Night may prove to be the main danger. Ian Semple's gelding only has the one win to his name from 16 starts, but he shaped well in defeat here last time behind Stateside and the form looks solid enough. He races off the same mark of 68 tonight which is 12lb lower than his opening handicap mark in April of 2008 and he looks the horse to side with, having shown an ability to act on any ground. Blue Charm's last run was disappointing but his jockey reported that he lost his action so he is not to be overlooked, along with El Dececy who has been up and down in trip like a yoyo but the booking of Neil Callan might point to a big run tonight. Casino Night is a decent filly on her day and goes well here, and Paul Mulrennan looks another interesting jockey booking. Pegasus Lad has become disappointing in better races recently, but connections now turn to the headgear for the first time, a tactic that they have put to good use of late. Both Regent's Secret and Primo Way come here on the back of good runs, however it is Doon Haymer who is fancied to lead them home.
