In depth

Verdict

Dolly Coughdrop is taken to get the better of Moonwalking and Adaptation and perhaps spring a bit of a surprise in an intriguing nursery. Mark Johnston¿s Adaptation was not unfancied on her debut here and ran well in defeat to be runner up before returning here for a facile odds on victory which proved little. The Spectrum filly hails from a yard which has turned the corner and is probably capable of better than she has shown so far. She is respected and must go well. Moonwalking was well beaten on his debut but put that form behind him when scoring at 50-1 at Ayr next time, getting up close home. It would be easy to dismiss that win as a fluke but the time was good and Moonwalking too can go close, and looks set to enjoy this uphill finish. Dolly Coughdrop has taken a while to get the hang of things but ran well at Ripon two outings ago, being denied room at a crucial stage before belying a starting price of 20-1 with a terrific effort in a Windsor nursery last time, failing by the narrowest of margins to get up. In receipt of weight from most of her rivals Dolly Coughdrop can leave her rivals spluttering.
