      Verdict

RIVER FALCON escapes a penalty for his recent success and this return to five furlongs isn't a problem, especially on the ground. Jim Goldie's veteran responded well to the handling of Paul Norton at Ayr and should take some beating here, although Ingleby Star is a live threat. His latest win came over course and distance and the top weight has maintained his form off this revised rating since. Verinco may do better on this slower surface and is an interesting each-way angle while Lesley's Choice has his conditions but remains a shade high in the weights. Poppy's Rose has won on ground with cut but is probably a better animal when hooves are rattling so of more interest is Mullglen, who drops into this grade for the first time and could outclass them if on song.
