      Verdict

Liberate looks to have been found as easy opportunity to get back to winning ways and should oblige at the expense of Wensleydale Star, Hi Dancer and Tirol Livit to name but three. Newmarket raider Liberate failed to justify favouritism on his handicap debut here in May but duly made amends at the end of the month when less fancied at Beverley, popping in at odds of 7-1. On the back of that, Sir Mark Prescott's charge was then sent off odds-on to repeat the feat at Southwell just five days ago, but a combination of being hampered early on, and a slight drop back in trip contributed to his defeat. In addition, he may not have acted on the fibresand, so although he has a 6lb penalty for that earlier win, conditions are very much in his favour today, and with little to beat, he will be strongly fancied to make amends. Wensleydale Star is still a maiden but is slowly getting the hang of things, and with his stable in form he should be involved although having more to do in this company. Hi Dancer needed his Thirsk return and will appreciate the faster ground, while Tirol Livit seemed to like the trip when fourth to Bauer at Ayr last time. He is another to consider for a place, but Liberate is surely the one to be on despite topweight.
