Verdict

Day Of The Eagle reappeared after a three-month break to land some decent bets at Wolverhampton in April, his first victory for two years. He has a 6lb rise to contend with but has won of a higher mark in the past. Zaeem and Monopoli represent rookie handler Ivan Furtado but the former doesn't win very often and the latter, now on his sixth trainer, has a long absence to overcome. Paddy's Rock, who won over the course and distance in August, has been finding longer trips against him and is back on his winning mark. NEUF DES COEURS doesn't appeal as a safe haven for punters having created a shock when scoring over slightly further here last week following a very poor run at Newcastle a few days earlier. She has a 6lb penalty to contend with but was already due a 3lb drop last time so is effectively well handicapped and gets the vote. Rioja Day has won once in 28 starts and that was on very heavy ground but Lendal Bridge is running well enough to consider and will enjoy the conditions more than most.
