    Verdict

Croftamie steps up in trip for her handicap debut and should be thereabouts given she handles soft ground but 7f winner Joshua The First is less certain to last the distance. NEVER PERFECT finished strongly over 1m2f at Pontefract last time and on the evidence of last year's victory in heavy ground at Ayr, a return to winning ways looks on the cards for Tom Tate's charge here. Alsahil has claims on his second at Thirsk in April but has been out of sorts since while both Tenhoo and Damascus Symphony are also struggling for form.
