    Verdict

BLUEJAIN is given the vote to land the opener; Musashi and Summer Winds look the most obvious dangers in a small field. Bluejain has crept up the ratings as a result of two victories in mid-summer and although yet to score since then, he has indicated that even off his current rating he is not handicapped out of it. Musashi remains a maiden after seven starts. His two efforts for his current yard have been reasonably encouraging, particularly his latest effort. He was campaigned over shorter trips in the past and if learning to settle he can pay his way at this level. Summer Winds has been largely disappointing of late when ridden patiently. It appears that when he is ridden closer to the pace he is seen at his best. Incarnation took full advantage of a simple task on her penultimate start but folded very tamely on her last start. Although only the six line up but they are a tightly knit group and Bluejain is selected to land it.
