In depth

Verdict

PRITI FABULOUS can take centre stage and confine Oceana Blue and Tactful to minor roles. Willie Haggas has placed his filly adeptly to win twice this season and her tally could easily have been three with a little more luck. Her two successes were achieved at Kempton so this track should prove to be no problem for her and nor should the 7lb rise that she received for her latest win as there should be a good deal more to come from her after just seven career starts. Oceana Blue is a good deal more experienced and ran one of her better races when finishing fourth in a competitive contest at Ascot on her latest outing but her strike rate is not compelling and she may have to settle for minor honours at best. William Buick was aboard on that occasion but connections have opted to claim this afternoon so he is left to take an outside ride for Ralph Beckett. Tactful lowered the colours of the nine million dollar horse Plavius on her debut at Lingfield which was a feather in her cap. It's debateable what the form amounts to and her initial mark is no more than fair and it would be a surprise to us if she were able to hold a candle to Priti Fabulous.
