Verdict

A poor maiden in the terms of quality and quantity but MONOTAURIUS ran well enough last time out to suggest she has the ability to win a race of this nature with both Kingsgate Storm and Changing The Guard worth noting. The selection caught the eye when second to Romantic Queen at Wolverhampton last time out. She was a beaten favourite that day but she has experience on her side and if she recaptures her best form she will take all the beating. Kingsgate Storm ran well in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot when finishing a decent eighth of twenty five. Since then he has been a little disappointing but this will be his easiest opportunity to date so any market moves should be noted. Changing The Guard has his debut for the Richard Fahey stable who are having winners of late. He looks nicely bred but the market will prove to be the best guide to his chances. So for the winner we return to Minotaurious.
