In depth

Verdict

COMPTON CLASSIC ran well from a poor draw on his reappearance run and is fancied to go one better here at the main expense of This Ones For Eddy and Asian Power. The last-named is not badly treated on old form now racing off a mark of 72, but the problem is that he needs things to drop right and as such is hard to win with. Preference then is for Compton Classic who ran well for this pilot when last seen and if all is well after a mini break then he shouldn't be far away. Milne Bay is a course and distance winner who cannot be ignored off bottom weight, Rabbit Fighter's recent form has been below par, whilst This Ones For Eddy represents a stable in good form and the blinkers may bring about some improvement. A market move for Royal Envoy would look significant, however it is Compton Classic who gets the nod.
