In depth

Verdict

The combination of Willie Mullins and Pat Smullen looks intriguing and LAVINIAD has the form in the book to gain her second success, just 4lb higher than her victory at Cork in October. Sr Cartage, a daughter of Sea The Stars, had to battle to land her maiden on heavy ground on this track and that will stand her in good stead on her handicap debut. Toccata Blue's last victory was here in June and he's surprisingly on a lower mark despite running well so he can make a bold bid to defy a big weight. Six Silver Lane has been in decent form at Dundalk and isn't badly treated while blinkers are applied to the inconsistent Maudlin Magdalen for the first time and she could prove a threat if they have the desired effect.
