Verdict

Soul Of Aran started favourite for his debut at Down Royal and ran reasonably well but he let supporters down badly on his next start at Navan when well beaten. Cliff Climber finished runner-up to the well-regarded Sallyanka at Kilbeggan but disappointed at Downpatrick subsequently. Ballymoe Boy was always in the firing line before staying on at one pace over 2m2f at Downpatrick and can improve and though dual winning point-to-pointer Paudi The Punter was beaten a long way in a big field at Punchestown on his bumper debut he ran well enough to be considered for this. SOME SAY showed the benefit of her opening run at Clonmel with a fine second behind Lisrenny Lady at Sligo and with normal improvement she can take this for James Nash and Katie Walsh.
