Verdict

Cairdin has been in action over fences during the winter and this is likely to prove too short. Rae's Creek was twice beaten when a short-priced favourite over this trip last summer and doesn't look one to trust but Toe The Line began her career by landing a Listowel bumper in September and performed with credit in much better races subsequently. John Oxx never really got going last season but he's on the scoresheet already this campaign and CASTLE OF ARGH should have made enough progress over the winter to take this. Jim Bolger would hardly be keeping a four-year-old unraced filly in training unless she was thought capable of winning so Cosmic Cannonball is one to note in the betting.
