In depth

Verdict

Dermot Weld has won this twice with the high-class Chinese White but Sapphire has some way to go to match her exploits. She did score nicely at the Curragh on her return however and further progress is expected. KIRINDA also has scope for improvement and entries in the leading fillies' races this year suggests John Oxx holds her in high regard. She finished third in a Listed event on her seasonal debut and can kick-start her season by taking this. Banimpire has the best proven form with victory in a Group 3 at Leopardstown last time her best effort yet. She makes more appeal than Wild Wind who was second in a 7f 1000 Guineas trial at Leopardstown on her return and is not certain to appreciate this longer trip. The remainder have a bit to find with the leading contenders on today's terms.
