    Verdict

FIRESTREAK appeals as the most progressive runner in the finale and can land the prize from Berbice and We'll Come. Richard Hannon has a strong hand in this race and Berbice is no back number having shaped well in a conditions race at Newbury last time. His form appears to have levelled out though whereas the selection's best days should still be ahead of him. The Queen's colt has found one too good in both starts in handicaps this year and it's a small concern that neither has really enhanced the form in subsequent outings but both were held in reasonable regard at the time and Firestreak can gain a modicum of compensation here. We'll Come hasn't quite lived up to early expectations but he has some smart form to his name and he should go close here. However, his record of just one win in 11 starts is offputting and he may be more at home in a bigger field. Monkey Glas and Flawed Genius are others that enter calculations but the former's recent improvement has come on the all-weather and the latter failed to respond to the fitting of a visor last time and ready preference is for Firestreak.
