Verdict

There should be plenty more to come from Innocuous but this is a fairly tough ask for an inexperienced horse and preference is for Sandown specialist DUNN'O who will try and lead them a merry dance from the front. He has nothing in hand of the assessor so he's certainly vulnerable but Smokey Oakey has been given a chance by the handicapper and relishes getting his toe in but hasn't won for two years. Truism goes well here but all his form is on a sound surface and Pleasant Day and Emirates Dream have something to prove. South Cape is of more interest as he's been a regular winner over the years and isn't badly handicapped with his promising rider's claim taken into account and there's every chance that this race will be run to suit.
