An interesting maiden where Last Appointment has to be the selection on the evidence available, but moves for Shoot, Photofit or Presumptive should also be noted with interest. Last Appointment, who is by the same sire as the progressive Elusive City, made his debut in a decent maiden on the all weather at Lingfield. Before going on to finish just a neck behind a well bred sort from the Roger Charlton yard at Newbury earlier in the month. He took a long time to get going on that occasion but displayed a good attitude when he was asked to go about his business a furlong out. He looks certain to win races and with those two runs out of the way, today could well provide him with a first visit to a winners' enclosure. Shoot and Photofit make plenty of appeal on breeding and should be noted for next time. But this does look to be a good opportunity for Last Appointment to make his experience count.
