Verdict

POTENTIALE won this in 2009 under Mario Baratti and recent rain is very much in his favour. He's only a couple of pounds higher and, as he's likely to handle underfoot conditions better than both Shabak Hom and Choral Festival, John Hills' seven-year-old gets the vote. Gallego won over this trip at Newbury last time but is another who would prefer a sounder surface, while Loyaliste is still a maiden and was tailed off on good to soft at Windsor earlier this month. Byrd In Hand is likely to struggle again on these terms.
