A typically competitive contest but Luca Cumani usually lays one or two out for Goodwood handicaps and FULGUR looked really progressive when outpointing the heavily-punted Mijhaar in a similar contest at the Newmarket July meeting. The pair pulled clear, the form looks strong and the High Chaparral colt will surely move into Pattern company in time. Labarinto was third in that Newmarket contest and should finish closer to the selection on these revised terms. He looks a solid each-way option. Sagramor landed the Britannia Stakes at the Royal meeting and should go well for his in-form yard, although this trip is an unknown. Specific Gravity's fourth to Pisco Sour, also at Royal Ascot, reads well in view of the winner's subsequent exploits but he shoulders plenty of weight, whilst Boogie Shoes, still unexposed, and Tropical Beat, interesting up in trip, are others to note.
