Verdict

Jet Away has won five times from a dozen starts but has been beaten whenever he's stepped into Listed company. Opera Gal won at this level at Windsor in August but that was over 1m4f on soft ground and this could prove too short. Retrieve was a useful performer in Australia and got his act together in this country at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago when comfortably landing a Class 3 event. There's probably more to come from him but FIORENTE is taken to complete a double for Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore. He scored over this trip at Newbury a year ago before two very good efforts over 1m4f in Grade 2 and 3 company. He'll be better for his run in the Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket and the shorter trip and faster ground is in his favour.
