Verdict

Gospel Choir looked potentially Group class when completing his hat-trick in a tough Haydock handicap last August but has been a beaten favourite on both subsequent starts. If his trainer has nursed him back to his best he'll take some stopping from this mark though PEARL CASTLE may have his measure. Andrew Balding's son of Montjeu won here last August and could hardly have been more impressive when making all at Sandown last month. The extra quarter-mile won't be a problem and he gets the nod. Blue Surf will enjoy the conditions and usually goes well at this sort of level while Mister Impatience is better than he showed at Doncaster last time.
