Verdict

NELSPRUIT led until the closing stages when only beaten a neck on his debut over 6f at Newbury last week. Providing a draw towards the middle of the track doesn't prove too much of a disadvantage, Richard Hannon's Makfi colt can go one better dropped in trip. Secret Tale was very green on her debut at Windsor but shaped with promise and looks the danger ahead of Chelmsford runner-up Pass The Moon. Annie Salts travelled well for a long way at Ascot and could make the frame while Freddie Freeloader may prove best of the newcomers on breeding.
