Interim Payment is out to get losses back and can do so, with Prince Vector, South O'The Border and Firesong out to make life tough for him. Roger Charlton's charge made a fine start to her three-year-old campaign, landing back-to-back successes at Bath and Doncaster before finishing third off a mark of 81 at Chester where she cut out most of the running before failing to find another gear inside the final furlong. She had a temperature in the spring but is out to make up for lost time and can be forgiven that recent effort. Prince Vector had been placed a number of times before coming good at Leicester when odds-on and has the scope to progress in this handicap, while South O'The Border made all to score at Sandown last time but was later disqualified. Firesong cost his supporters a packet when narrowly beaten at Nottingham but amends in fine style at Carlisle subsequently. Sylvester Kirk's colt is open to lots of improvement and off a mark of 78 it would be no surprise if he were to run a big race here. Zayn Zen and Elraawy are just two more with claims, but in a wide-open contest we opt for Interim Payment.
