Verdict

Saeed Bin Suroor's WEDDING MARCH was headed close home in the Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp on her most recent start and only second outing as a juvenile so she takes a drop in class for her reappearance and has an obvious chance of resuming winning ways, getting the vote ahead of Snow Fairy and Pipette. Andrew Balding's filly also takes a drop in class having contested the 1,000 Guineas on her most recent outing but she disappointed at Newmarket and should be more at home at this level so has place claims at least. Waltwer Swinburn's Bella Swan is more experienced than most of her rivals but needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge, while John Gosden's Deirdre was well held in a conditions race at Ascot behind Aviate last month and is readily discounted after that effort. Thaahira put up a good performance when making a winning reappearance for the in-form Michael Jarvis in a Chester maiden earlier this month but this is tougher and a bigger threat may be Ed Dunlop's Snow Fairy, who showed progressive form as a two-year-old and is an interesting contender on her return. Preference though is for Godolphin's Wedding March, who looked one to keep on the right side of last season and she can make a winning reappearance.
