Verdict

This appears to be a very strong maiden with representatives from some top yards. We will take a chance with Aidan O'Brien's colt Bonanza, with Tamalain and Working Late put forward as likely dangers. Bonanza as you would expect is superbly bred by Danehill out a multiple winning mare. He cost 100 thousand guineas as a yearling and is entered in some top races including The St James' Palace Stakes. He should know his job first time out and looks the one to beat. Working Late looks the pick of the two John Gosden runners. He is by Night Shift out of a Mr Prospector mare so should be suited by ground and trip. Tamalain could be the best of the experienced runners as she finished an excellent fourth behind Titian Time on her final run last season. War At Sea could prove best of the others, but on this occasion we will give a tentative vote to Bonanza.
