Verdict

Shebebi won his maiden in good style at Folkestone and is handicapping for the first time here along with Sinaadi, who takes on the boys having failed to figure in a Group 3 race for fillies. Empiricist has only raced on fast going so far but it was soft ground when Haatefina and Aint Got A Scooby won nurseries earlier in the season. SURGE AHEAD is less exposed and handled the testing conditions at Pontefract to get off the mark over 6f. Ed Walker's colt is just preferred to Colmar Kid, whose best form should see him in the mix.
