More guessing involved here than on a Page Three Weakest Link Special, and it is the most tentative of votes that goes to Swingkeel over Montfjord and Appointment. A bit of a flop last time out on soft ground at the quagmire that is Chepstow, much better is expected from Swingkeel today now back on a more suitable surface. A mark of 75 for his handicap debut looks fair and with plenty of stamina in his pedigree, the step up to this trip looks sure to suit. Monfjord has shown ability, and is related to some decent stayers, whilst Victoria Montoya has run some good races in defeat but the step up in trip is not as likely to play to her strengths. Krisnando was well-backed when tasting yet another defeat recently and is hard to fancy today, as is Dancing Dik who looks mediocre at best. Stablemate Appointment has shown more ability and has claims now back on better ground, but is not certain to get this longer trip. The consistent Dolly Penrose is yet another for consideration having shaped as if this trip will be ideal, however the top of the handicap may be the place to look and Swingkeel gets the nod.
