It's tempting to oppose Sailorman given his welter burden, the fact that he had little to beat at Epsom and that Kieren Fallon made best use of the 'Golden Highway' that saw him land a treble. The problem is that solid options are few and far between despite there being a good number that are capable of giving him a race. Thunderball ran well last time but is without a win on grass, Primaeval looked promising at the start of the season but lost his way before running a more encouraging race at Kempton. Space Station looks pretty solid and Red Gulch has claims but MAMBO SPIRIT may be the one. He ran well at the Glorious meeting to finish a four length fifth behind Start Right with John Fahy's claim helping to negate his latest rise in the weights. Cape Rock was a little unlucky in running that day and could make the frame.
