Verdict

MAN OF GOD makes plenty of appeal here. Unable to get into contention in his last two starts over a longer trip, John Gosden's charge was beaten only a length over today's distance at Haydock in August and all three opponents have won since. Battery Power won easily at Kempton last time but has been raised 9lb for her troubles, while Chatterer and Tegan both posted below par efforts on their latest starts. Around The Clock just got the better of The Calling Curlew when winning at Brighton in August but that was on soft ground and they'll need the rains to arrive if they're to figure in this.
