In depth

Verdict

Story Writer is less than straightforward but still managed to get his head in front here last time despite having dropped out of contention at one point. He looks set for another battle with runner-up Kashgar on similar terms. But THE QUARTERJACK arrives in fine form having won over today's trip at Bath before going in again at Salisbury last month and a hat-trick looks on the cards for Ron Hodges charge. Number One London has a shout if his stamina holds out but White Nile has failed to cope for a rise in the weights after winning at Kempton on his reappearance.
