Simon Walker's presence on board will ensure Swift Blade gets a good ride though his mount is still a maiden after a dozen starts and looks a few pounds high in the weights. BEFORE BRUCE won a low-grade handicap at Chepstow in July and Alan Berry is a positive booking for Brendan Powell's charge, who can take this very moderate affair. Taroum started favourite for that latter event but was well held in third though his rider's claim should enable him to finish closer this time. Barachiel hasn't enjoyed soft ground on his two latest starts after a good run on similar going to this at Nottingham while last year's runner-up Mustajed isn't getting any younger and was beaten a long way when runner-up at Southwell last time.
