Verdict

Richard Hannon's pair Janoub Nibras and Mystical Moment both go on the short-list in this competitive nursery, though the former will do well to defy top weight and an outside draw. Bircham hasn't done a great deal wrong so far but A Certain Romance would have to step up on a hard-fought victory at Doncaster to follow up and Newmarket runner-up Oasis Cannes is a little more exposed than some. Andrew Balding trained the winner 12 months ago so Epsom second Zanetto has to be worth a second look but it's doubtful we've yet to see the best of FREEPORT and he looks the pick of the weights today. Brian Meehan's colt has been taking on decent opposition in maidens and the booking of Kieren Fallon is a positive sign. Northern raiders Boom And Bloom and Party Royal may be best of the rest.
