Morinqua, Marozi and Sohraab look the horses to fight out this prize and Morinqua is given the nod. The step up in trip is a worry but her cruising speed is a serious strength and having taken on better opposition than this in the past, she could be a sporting bet at the likely odds. Marozi is often overbet but is held in high regard at home. Michael Jarvis is not in the habit of making frivolous entries and a win here would seal a potential engagement in the Haydock Park Sprint Cup. Sohraab continues to meet punishment from the handicapper despite not winning. He seems fated to invariably find one more progressive than himself. Gentle Guru was expected to go well ahead of a recent Sandown engagement and the gamble was landed. With Richard Phillips' in the trainer's column, backers can expect him to trade at a few points bigger than his form deserves. Northern Fling handles fast ground well and David Nicholls' charge cannot be discounted. Front running Dress To Impress will attempt to transfer some progressive all-weather form on to the turf. He can expect to find Obstructive proving difficult company in the early stages. A fair sprint handicap and Morinqua is selected at the likely odds.
