Mister Ross, Oriental Girl and SPATE RIVER make most appeal in this handicap and the vote is given to the latter. Chris Wall's 3-year-old lost no caste in defeat last time out when he was only narrowly beaten by Ghost Dancer. That was a good effort, he looks progressive and he should be good enough to resume winning ways. Mister Ross has shown promise on three starts in maiden company and he could be of interest on his handicap debut. The market may be a guide to his chance, while Oriental Girl showed a good attitude to score last time but it is questionable quite what she beat. Bluejain had the worst of the draw and he raced too keenly last time so he could fare better here. However, for the winner we will stick with Spate River.
