Verdict

Sunset Sail was staying on over 7f at Newmarket last time so this drop in distance may not suit. The return to 6f will help stablemate Cool Strutter, however, while Flash Fire made all at Nottingham last month and looks a speedy type. Mick Channon won this last year and has Billyoakes in the line-up this time. GEORGE BOWEN wasn't beaten far in a similar contest over track and trip a month ago and may be capable of reversing that form with Sunset Sail on better terms. He's preferred to Richard Fahey's other runner, Thirsk scorer Johnny B Goode.
