      Verdict

The lightly-raced EVITA PERON was always going well when landing a Listed contest at Newmarket in June. She should again beat Manderley and can end the unbeaten record of Muteela. Mark Johnston's filly had Wee Jean back in third when bravely holding off Queen Catrine in the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot last time but the runner-up has let the form down since when behind Wee Jean at Sandown on better terms. J Wonder has already won at this level this year and her latest run was in the Coronation Stakes. She'll appreciate the drop in class, though was just behind This Time in the French 1,000 Guineas in May. Indignant looks the pick of the older fillies.
