Verdict

The veteran Fosters Cross won this a year ago from today's rival Cry For The Moon but the latter, who has the bonus of Derek O'Connor in the saddle, is expected to take his revenge and grab a place at least. Buy Back Bob ran very well behind Ursa Major at the Curragh last time and the booking of Nina Carberry suggests connections mean business. Citizenship was raised a massive 10lb for scoring at Killarney though his rider's claim negates most of that but CAIM HILL looks the one to be on. He's been in fine form recently scoring twice on the Flat and over fences at Kilbeggan last time. He's still well handicapped on the level and can take this on his way to a crack at the Plate later in the week. Oilily has been running well on the Flat and over timber all year and doesn't look too badly treated under regular rider Sean Byrne.
