Verdict

Despite its ultra-competitive appearance, three of the last four favourites have been successful. Hunting Tower came into the race on a roll a year ago but could only finish seventh and he's now 10lbs higher. Andrew McNamara produced a superb display of front-running to get Fearnwood Girl home from the useful Vivaldi at Sligo and this four-year-old has more scope than most here. Cylindar Rattler completed his double at Wexford and the runner-up City Hustler has scored since to give the form a solid look. The first of those two victories was over 2m2f and SPLIT EAR could only finish fourth, around 10 lengths off the winner. However, Anthony Mullins' charge reverted to today's trip at Sligo subsequently and gained a very impressive success, suggesting he can complete a double despite a 10lbs rise. Mull On The Run hasn't had much racing but looks a threat on his second to Scholar's Mate at Punchestown last October while Total Excitement can be relied on to run his usual sound race from this mark and can snatch a place at least. Bremen will like the ground but would probably be better suited by further.
