Verdict

Three-year-olds have a good record in this and the only one of that age engaged here is SWEET MYSTERY, who can continue the trend. He follows the pattern of Dermot Weld winners in that he showed promise on his second start over this trip at Gowran before running over a shorter distance on his next start. He hasn't been seen since April and makes his handicap debut but that's rarely a problem for one from this yard and he can gain a first success. The veteran Fit The Cove is at the opposite end of the scale having had a career total of 88 runs. He's won ten of them, including at Tipperary a couple of weeks ago, and ran very well over a mile here on Wednesday. Big Bad Billy Bob had beaten Fit The Cove at Killarney and though 9lb higher has to be on the short-list along with Dash Back, who was gaining just his second victory in 32 starts on Turf at Down Royal when He's Got Rhythm was behind.
