Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer Gate Please made a fair start in bumpers behind Ardboe Abbey at Roscommon where the quick ground looked against him. Moorhill Lad has run well enough against decent opposition to be considered but Cooper's Dream ran poorly when tried over 2m4f last time. The remainder with experience look moderate so this looks a battle between two newcomers, one trained by Dermot Weld and the other by Willie Mullins. The former is represented by INDIAN WINTER, who is mainly Flat bred but is a half-brother to the useful bumper Endless Intrigue. Unless the ground becomes too testing he may just have too much pace for Mullins' Shes Tensixtysix, a full sister to the dual bumper winner Sir Vincent and likely to do better when tackling hurdles.
