In depth

Verdict

Mezogiorno was beaten just under two lengths by Crecora and Port Merion at Killarney before her victory at Leopardstown and it's the very lightly-raced runner-up who can come out best of the trio this time. Expensive Taste was making her handicap debut when successful over 7f here on Monday where she just held on from the fast-finishing BOTANICAL LADY. The winner is penalised so it's the runner-up, who will be much better suited by the trip and has the advantage at the weights, who can reverse the form and go one better. Saldanha Bay has been making gradual progress and has a chance of making the frame on her handicap bow with Connor King's claim a bonus.
