Gilded Age is respected off top weight whilst Shaddaii will be tough to beat if repeating the form shown just three days ago when responding well to an excellent Ian Popham ride to score here over 2m4f. He's up another two furlongs in trip now and shoulders a 6lb penalty but must go close if over recent exertions. Nicky Nutjob is consistent but is probably a question mark in this grade and OVERLAY makes greater appeal. She has a 160-day absence to overcome since pulling up at Towcester after running no sort of race, presumably due to the heavy ground. However, she was previously most progressive at a modest level when completing a hat-trick of handicap hurdle successes on much better ground. She should go well if the rains stay away from Sussex.
