Verdict

SESAME RAMBLER loves to win here and with his 5lb rise in the handicap for a recent win looking fair he is taken to see off Shaka's Pearl and Plane Painter. The Robert and Sally Alner-trained grey is flattered by the margin of his win last month when left clear at the last but his record at this track (four course wins) means he is the obvious place to start. This quicker ground won't be a problem and this spring horse must run well. Shaka's Pearl has also won here before and this strong stayer ran well in defeat here last month. Despite that he is dropped a couple of pounds in the weights and is fancied to run well. Plane Painter has been off since December but he is fairly handicapped as he returns to action and on ground that suits he should run well for Christian Williams. Siouxme ran ok behind Kappelhoff last time and that was her best run to date. She is unexposed, especially over fences, and shouldn't be taken lightly. An open race, but the old-timer Sesame Rambler can win again.
