Verdict

Don Pooleoni made a promising start over these hurdles when runner-up in a maiden here in June but Dawn Twister makes more appeal. The latter recorded his best effort so far over timber when third at Wetherby recently and looks to have leading claims in this. However, point-to-point winner AWBEG MASSINI was fancied to run well on his hurdling debut at Aintree last month and made a bold bid only giving way in the closing stages to finish third. He gets the vote to open his account under Rules with Rydon Pynes and Backhomeinderry looking best of the remainder.
