In depth

Verdict

This should be an easy opportunity for Stellenbosch to get his head in front at the expense of Peaceful Means and A Little More. The selection was a winner on the flat two years ago but has yet to get his head in front for Charlie Mann over hurdles. That being said he has been knocking on the door of late having finishing second in his last three races. His latest effort caught the eye when in behind Rodrigo Gonzales at Kempton in March. This looks his easiest task to date and if putting his best foot forward then he should have no troubles getting his head in front. Peaceful Means has shown a decent level of ability in the past. He was a good second at Huntington before being thrown in the deep end against better company at Newbury thereafter and was not totally discredited when fifth in a big field last time out. For that reason he is to be noted in the betting market. As is A Little More who was only moderate on the flat for Paul Blockley but can improve from his hurdles debut when fourth of twelve at a massive price at Worcester last month. But for the winner we return to Stellenbosch.
