Verdict

McIllhatton has only had a couple of runs this winter but was second in a decent handicap at Doncaster in January and has his sights lowered here. Oliver's Hill won a maiden hurdle at Wetherby on his debut for Charlie Longsdon and should appreciate the extra half-mile but SHUBAAT gets 6lb from the aforementioned pair, despite a comfortable success at Uttoxeter. He might be one to follow in the closing weeks of the season. The four-year-old Candyman Can has hinted at ability but would need more to get involved here.
